The Office of Communications and Marketing has opportunities for students who love purple and gold as much as we do to gain experience and build their professional portfolios while working with our creative professional staff.
Student workers and interns with OCM work with our social media, photo and video, web and digital media, creative services, news and event planning staff to create content and plan events that highlight just how awesome it is to be a Golden Eagle. Whether you’re interested in work behind the scenes or right in front of the camera, writing features or designing graphics, building webpages or planning events, the work you do with OCM is sure to be full of opportunities to learn new skills, build your portfolio with real-world experience and have some fun in the process.

Enrollment & Communications is seeking an outgoing student to serve as a business intelligence & analytics intern. The intern will work directly with the executive director of strategic planning & data to assist with developing business intelligence on behalf of the university, largely targeted to addressing business decisions related to student recruitment.
As a business intelligence & analytics intern, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside professional staff in developing intelligence reports and presentations, including visualizations, along with researching and answering ad hoc business questions as needed by university administrators.

The Web & Digital Media team is looking for a student editor to assist with web support for www.tntech.edu and its many sub-pages. Students with an aptitude for writing and problem-solving are highly encouraged to apply! This position does not require any experience with web editing, design, or development, though experience of that kind is a definite plus; training will be provided!
Web support student editors will work directly with the Web & Digital Media team on a variety of projects and will gain valuable experience in web management. As businesses and social interactions take place more and more online, websites are ever more important. Learn the importance of accessibility, what goes into maintaining a brand identity in an online environment, and the day-to-day monitoring required to ensure a professional online presence.

The Web & Digital Media team is looking for a digital media student worker who will need to be able to design and coordinate content that supports our digital map and signage platforms that is visually appealing and aligns with the university’s brand and messaging. Skills in Adobe Creative products, Canva, or other digital content creation tools is required.
The student will support the director of web and digital media in general management and upkeep of the university’s public-facing campus maps through its content management system. Experience using online maps, such as Google, Apple, or OpenStreetMap is required. Experience with creating maps through Google Maps, OpenStreetMap or other map platforms is preferred.
Lastly, the student will support the web & digital media team to regularly survey the campus and collect information on the most relevant news and updates, buildings, points of interest, and other features to enhance the map and digital signage usability and regularly help the team to troubleshoot and resolve any bugs or issues.

The Office of Communications & Marketing is seeking a student to serve as a communications intern. The intern will work directly with the communication coordinator to assist with copyediting and communications projects on behalf of the university.
As a communications intern, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside professional staff to perform publication review by finding any grammatical and/or spelling errors, reviewing for Associated Press and Âé¶¹¹û¶³´«Ã½ styles, verifying factual information and checking for the correct use of university logos. You may also assist with researching information and other special projects.
