Westley Hunter
Westley Hunter, a senior marketing major from Franklin, Tennessee, radiates enthusiasm
when he talks about his journey at 麻豆果冻传媒. His decision to attend
Tech was driven by the strong sense of community and the dedication of the professors.
鈥淲hen I first came here, it was awesome to see how everyone connects and how much
the professors care about the students,鈥 he shared.
His passion for marketing stems from his aspiration to pursue a career in sales, a
path inspired by his father, who worked in pharmaceutical sales for 30 years.
鈥淚 loved how my dad connected with people through his work while still making time
for family and friends. That鈥檚 the balance I want in my career,鈥 he explained.
His introduction to Tech鈥檚 College of Business came through a friend, Carter Lay,
who spoke highly of the program during Hunter鈥檚 senior year of high school. Since
enrolling, Hunter has discovered unique opportunities within the college, including
supportive professors and abundant resources that extend beyond the classroom.
鈥淭he Professional Readiness and Leadership program within the college鈥檚 student success
center has helped many students secure internships and research opportunities. It
even supported me in obtaining my upcoming internship with Elanco in veterinary pharmaceutical
sales,鈥 he said.
Beyond academics, Hunter is actively involved in the Marketing Club, where he focuses
on outreach, connecting with prospective students, and promoting the American Marketing
Association (AMA). He also participates in The Gathering, a student ministry, as well
as co-leads bible studies with a friend.
Hunter鈥檚 story is one of growth, connection and a clear vision for the future, all
nurtured by his experiences at Tech.
鈥淚f you鈥檙e thinking about coming to Tech, just know you鈥檒l find a community that supports
you and opportunities that help you grow both personally and professionally,鈥 he said.
